DJANGO BRAVEHEART

Django Braveheart is an instrumental guitar duo consisting of Liam Gerner and myself.

We both adore the guitar but neither of us is a virtuoso on the instrument (although Liam is closer to the mark than I am). We wanted to make a duo that is just a pure guitar-fest, in the spirit of the pioneers of the jazz guitar but with Liam’s and my influences as well. Liam comes from an alt-country, Americana background in his playing, whereas I modeled myself on hard rock and metal players.

We are both devoted songwriters, and so the result is quite compositional in nature, as well as playing with the orchestration of two guitars bouncing back and forth. There are also heavily improvised sections.
